Rest. Recharge. Rejuvenate.
A lot has unfolded in the past week/end.
We got to bond over stretches of tarmac and off-road, watched the sunrise, afternoon swim and were entertained by the dolphins.
Leaving the chaotic city for the shores of Diani was worthwhile.
Onto the next.
Good morning from Makindu.

Hey people I got here in Mombasa CBD at 8:20pm. My phone was battery low so I had to charge it for a while. Some cyclists based here came for me at Bonje and I was so excited I forgot to update you people.

Good afternoon from Voi. Lunch at 345km ✅,
This is my 5th stopover on my way to Msa from Nrb #ForSule
I got a puncture right in the middle of the Tsavo - ‘a snake bite’, fixed it and ended up losing some 20 minutes anyway I am still determined to get to Mombasa under 20 hrs.
So if you follow me on Strava and on WhatsApp you definitely know I aborted my ride to Mombasa under 20hrs yesterday because my backlight failed 2hrs into the ride. So I went back home.
Anyway am back to honor the kenyan legend of cycling @sulekangangi from tonight at midnight
This was about 2 hours ago at Mtito
@SiroDevs should now be approaching mariakani towards mombasa
If your inspired with this journey mwekee za soda bana 0115586529

A MAN'S LIFE IN RETIREMENT 🧵🧵
My name is Njuguna, but these days most people just call me Mzee. I am 70 years old, retired, and living in Kabati, Murang’a. I wasn’t always this calm. In my 30s and 40s, I was chasing money like a mad man. I worked in construction , built homes for other people while I rented bedsitters in Githurai.
The house I live in today, I built it slowly over 12 years. One mabati, one bag of cement at a time. No loans, no sponsors. Just grit.
My compound isn’t much, but it's mine. I have three dairy cows, a few chickens, and avocado trees that are now older than some of my grandchildren. I don’t farm to survive. I farm to stay sane. To stay useful....
It's another year where we, @Rsquad_KE, came together for a worthy cause.
The annual Pads and Pants drive would not have been a success without you and me.
Keeping the boy and girl child in school is a win for the community 🎊🥳
