Ukraine has been seeking peace since the very first second of the war, and we have always said that the only reason it continues is Russia.
I am grateful to every unit and every brigade defending Ukraine’s positions, ensuring the destruction of the occupiers, and making every effort to provide our country with the strength needed to bring peace closer.
Today, Defense Minister Umerov reported on his meetings and contacts with partners regarding new support packages: Poland is preparing additional support packages and continues its participation in the Czech-led ammunition initiative.
Germany – we expect an accelerated delivery of IRIS-T air defense systems and their ammunition. It is crucial that Germany recognizes its role as one of the key security pillars of Europe and the modern free world, and we deeply appreciate this.
European Union – we are working at the EU institutional level to address existing supply shortages.
The Netherlands — there is a readiness to continue investing in weapons production in Ukraine.
Northern European and Baltic countries – full support, which means new aid packages, new investments in weapons production, and new political initiatives that will strengthen both Ukraine and Europe.
I’m grateful to all our partners.
I am so saddened by my governments betrayal of Ukraine right now. It will be recorded by historians as one of our most shameful moments. At the same time, I have no doubt that Ukraine will survive and prosper as a strong, independent, democratic country. #SlavaUkraïni !
@JDVance Look at what you support. By your actions you are condoning the killing of children. Your actions will lead to even more victims. Tell the parents of the murdered Ukrainian children how uncomfortable you are.
World leaders have expressed their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine.
Poland: Prime Minister Donald Tusk: “Dear Volodymyr Zelenskyy, dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone.”
France: President Emmanuel Macron: “We must respect those who are fighting.”
Germany: Deputy leader of the CDU party, Johann Wadephul: “The footage from the White House is shocking. How can one stab the president of an occupied country in the back like this? Free Europe will not betray Ukraine.”
Spain: Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez: “Ukraine, Spain is with you.”
Lithuania: President Gitanas Nausėda: “Ukraine, you will never be alone.”
Moldova: President Maia Sandu: “The truth is simple: russia attacked Ukraine. Ukraine is defending its own freedom and ours.”
European Union: Former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell stated: “Trump and Vance staged a disgraceful show. I am ashamed of such behavior. The U.S. deserves better. The free world must support Ukraine.”
Austria: “We stand with Ukraine. russia is the aggressor, and we share Ukraine’s commitment to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.”
Czech Republic: “We stand with Ukraine like never before. It is time for Europe to step up its efforts.”
Norway: “We support Ukraine in its just struggle for a fair and lasting peace.”
Sweden: “We support Ukraine. You are fighting not only for your freedom but for all of Europe. Glory to Ukraine!”
Finland: “Finland and the Finnish people firmly stand with Ukraine. We will continue our unwavering support and work towards achieving a just and lasting peace.”
Canada: “russia has illegally and unjustifiably invaded Ukraine. For three years now, Ukrainians have fought bravely and resiliently. Their fight for democracy, freedom, and sovereignty is crucial for all of us.”
Despite pressure, Zelenskyy stood his ground. Ukraine needs a just peace and lasting peace.
I cannot remember a moment in American history when our foreign policy shifted so dramatically & quickly.
Trump doesn't want to be the leader of the free world. He wants to join the autocratic world.
I hope the US Congress and the American people will prevent this switch.
Russia does not want to end the war, and the Trump administration has shown no ability to induce Russia to end the war. And so, predictably, the Trump administration blames the victim, blames Ukraine.
As never before, we must stand with Ukraine!
The MAGA propaganda machine is now in full force. They will attack Zelenskyy for not “respecting the Oval Office,” for being “ungrateful,” and for not being “ready for peace.”

Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine. History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for.
There is an aggressor: Russia.
There is a victim: Ukraine.
We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago—and to keep doing so.
By “we,” I mean the Americans, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese, and many others.
Thank you to all who have helped and continue to do so. And respect to those who have been fighting since the beginning—because they are fighting for their dignity, their independence, their children, and the security of Europe.
When Ukraine gave up its third nuclear arsenal, the US guaranteed security. Now, when Russia attacks Ukraine, the US is siding with the aggressor.
The deal has been broken.
There are no more restrictions.
Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people.
Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.
What a disgrace. You can watch Trump lecturing Zelensky in this video.
Peter Baker: “I have covered the White House since 1996. Never has an American president lectured the leader of an ally in public like this, much less the leader of a country that is fighting off invaders.”
Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.
Just like four years ago, Trump wants to be president to avoid poverty and prison. Just like four years ago, it is utterly predictable that he will claim to have won if he loses, and try to take power regardless. And so just like four years ago, a vote for Trump is a vote for an authoritarian regime change in the United States.

This cartoon is from 1930s. The West was quietly watching as russia was killing Ukrainian people.
Back then, fools argued:
"The Soviet Union is not the Russian Empire!"
"Tales of millions starving aren't real!"
"We shouldn't anger the bear!"
