What Modern Naval Warfare IS:
A detailed simulation of the Virginia class submarines, including navigation controls and systems, command systems, sensors, acquisition systems and weapons (torpedoes, Harpoon and Tomahawk missiles).
A thorough simulation of the physics and acoustic environment in the South China Sea.
What Modern Naval Warfare IS NOT:
An action-filled game of the type "press F to fire". Instead, you will be in a captain's mindset regarding target acquisition, navigating to a good firing position.
At the time of this video, there is no enemy reaction to your actions, which is likely to be a point of disappointment for many players.

Age of Longbow released on Steam yesterday. I’m doing a playthrough of the Battle of Poitiers (1356), commanding the French under Jean le Bon.
The first couple of turns had me advancing east with the Avant-Garde division under the Dauphin, which saw initial success, but gradually stalled as I encountered stronger units, i.e., English men-at-arms.
Orleans and his Bataille division follow a little behind, prepared to push in if the Avant-Garde is repulsed, which looks likely. Meanwhile, I’m also trying to find the English flanks.
To the south, I tried to maneuver my Genovese crossbowmen under Grimaldi around the patchwork of orchards and villages and smacked right into a pack of English archers.
I feared bogging down what little cavalry I have in the main assault, so I sent them (German allies under Saarbrucken and the Chevals a Gauche under Clermont) on a recon around the north side of Forest de Noualle. I hope to find an unguarded entry point, but it looks doubtful. Stellar addition to the growing @WargameDS presence on Steam.

Short story from a recent patrol: Ascending above the thermocline, multiple contacts instantly bloom on the broadband passive sonar waterfall display. Minutes later, as we alter course to close the distance, the musical symphony of surface screws and blades begins to register on the narrowband display. Pantsir vs. Apache and Pantsir vs. Hellfires
This is a spin off of a Steel Beasts scenario I posted about a couple of weeks back. Now in DCS World, I'm flying an AH-64D armed with Hellfire missiles to ease up the secure tactical task of a German mechanized infantry task force.
Little did I know that besides missiles against my attack helicopter, the SA-22 Pantsir can throw 2,500 rounds per minute at the Hellfire missiles I target his brother in arms!
