President Trump is calling on Senate Majority Leader John Thune to immediately fire Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough, accusing her of blocking key Republican priorities.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (along with Sens. Marshall and Tuberville) is leading efforts to impose term limits on the position, limiting the Parliamentarian to one 6-year term, to restore accountability and remove entrenched power.

MacDonough, in the role for over 14 years, has drawn fire for rulings impacting reconciliation bills and other GOP legislation.
