Sven is in #Essex and is needing to be rehomed due to an incident in his family home with a toddler. This wasn't Sven's fault but unfortunately it has meant he can't safely be around children under 12 years of age.

Meet Remi
A beautiful soul who has been through far more than she ever should have.
Remi was seized by the Met police after being believed to be a “type” dog. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that she had already been seized 6–8 months earlier for the same reason and after assessment, she was found not to be of type.
Despite this, Remi was taken again and kept for another six months, causing immense and unnecessary distress to her street-homeless owner.
Yesterday, after all that time, they suddenly decided to release her , once again confirming she is not of type.
Where is the accountability?
If a dog is clearly not of type, why seize them at all? Why hold them for months, only to reach the same conclusion?
This is the broken system we are forced to navigate.
The good news: Remi is now safely in our care and finally getting the love and reassurance she deserves. We are working to reunite her with her owner on Monday, where she truly belongs.
No dog — and no owner — should have to endure this kind of trauma. 🧡
Did you know our best boy Champion is now ready for his furever home?
This one eyed wonder is currently in foster but he’s so ready to find his pawrents…. Could that be you?
Here’s a link to all his details!

Bella would like you all to know that she is the prettiest flower in the patch! 🤪🌸
Bella is a very sweet girl who has a lot of potential after a rough start in life. She can be reactive to other dogs so is looking to be the only pet in the home at the moment 🐕💛
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the passing of RPD Stella.
Stella will forever be remembered as an extraordinary police dog whose life defied expectations and changed perceptions. A proud Staffordshire Bull Terrier and former RSPCA rescue, she went on to make history with Gloucestershire Constabulary as the first full Staffie to serve as a police dog in the UK. She was a trailblazer who proved that heart and ability know no breed.
For more than eight and a half years, Stella served faithfully alongside her handler and best friend, PC Todd, as a highly skilled search dog trained to locate drugs, cash and firearms. Her work helped remove danger from our communities and played a vital role in keeping others safe. Time and time again, Stella showed unwavering bravery, intelligence and determination, earning the respect and admiration of all who came across her.
Beyond her operational success, Stella left a lasting legacy through her gentle nature and community work. She helped bridge the gap between police and public, especially with children and those fearful of dogs, showing kindness, patience and calm wherever she went. Her presence alone was enough to change minds and open hearts.
Stella’s incredible journey was recognised when she was awarded the Kennel Club Hero Dog Award for the Extraordinary Life of a Working Dog at Crufts 2023.
Chosen by public vote, the award celebrated not just her achievements, but everything she represented; resilience, loyalty and the power of giving rescue dogs a chance.
In retirement, Stella spent her days exactly where she belonged. At home with PC Todd, her RPD colleagues, and her loving family, surrounded by comfort and love until the very end.
Stella leaves behind an irreplaceable legacy and will always hold the most special place in the hearts of those who knew her, worked with her, and followed her story.
Our thoughts are with everyone who loved Stella, especially her family. 🐾💙
