And I really feel we use words like ‘Modi bhakti’ so very loosely on social media just because we are so deeply affiliated to some party that we are unable to see beyond that. Important to be balanced even in your criticism, sir :) But of course, I appreciate your PoV and am democratic enough to engage without name calling :)
What utter imprudence! The perception of an entitled leadership that condones dynasty worship is perhaps the biggest criticism against the Congress among voters & has been among PM Modi’s key planks — the kaamdaar vs naamdaar slogan for eg. Such absolutely silly acts of reverence reinforce the worst possible message about the Congress, which has anyway struggled to stay afloat in the past decade.

If you think I don’t criticise Mr Modi for his narcissistic tendencies then you probably don’t follow my work :) I have zero qualms in calling out the PM’s brazen brand of self aggrandizement & the hero/cult worship he encourages. I particularly find his recent pictures posing as Lord Shiv deeply problematic. BUT, that does not mean I will not call out similar tendencies within the Congress when needed.
@rncunc If you mean PM Modi, then I have absolutely no hesitation in calling out his narcissistic tendencies and the hero worship he encourages within his ranks.
Telegram moves Delhi High Court against the Central government decision to ban it before the NEET UG re-test. The matter was mentioned before the bench of justice Tajas Karia who agreed to hear it today.
Recently, the government took a decision to ban telegram temporarily before the NEET UG Exam on June 21.
“At 16, Sachin Tendulkar encountered intimidation during his first tour of Pakistan. He replied with his bat.”
It wasn’t just his cricket, but also his temperament that made Tendulkar a legend. A timely reminder to rising sports talents like Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of the importance of emotional restraint on the field.

As India debates the implementation of women's reservation and the implications of delimitation, it is important to ask: What will these changes mean for political representation & the future of women's participation in democracy?
Look forward to discussing these burning issues at ADR's webinar on 19 June at 3 PM (IST).

Dear @MCD_Delhi@praveshwahi, an empty plot right behind our housing building in SDA has become a dumping yard (images attached). This plot shares a boundary with three buildings, and several open balconies (including ours) are exposed to it. Today, a snake was spotted there. We don’t know who owns this plot & why it has been allowed to get to this state in the middle of a residential area, but what we do know is such unchecked waste lying around is a hazard — from rats, cockroaches and mosquitoes to the more worrying risk of this growing mountain of paper waste catching FIRE. I have tried to bring it to the attention of authorities but no movement has happened so far. I would, therefore, request you to please look into this before something untoward happens. Thank you

How a group of young college students in Kanpur taught me a valuable lesson way back in 2017 — that India’s woman voter had arrived.
For years, I was fascinated by a remarkable political story hiding in plain sight: the rise of India's woman voter.
That curiosity eventually became ‘What Women Want: Understanding the Female Voter in Modern India.’
Sharing a little about that journey in this video as I read an extract at a non-fiction book community.
ADR is organising a webinar on “Bottlenecks in the Implementation of the Women's Reservation Bill 2023 and the Delimitation Bill 2026” on 19th June 2026 (Friday) at 03:00 PM (IST).

Pune, thank you for the warmth & overwhelming response ❤️
It was a delight to discuss 'What Women Want: Understanding The Female Voter of Modern India' with @tehseenp and engaging with readers on one of the most significant stories shaping Indian democracy—the rise of the woman voter.
A big thank you to @crossword_book and @PhoenixAOS, Pune for making this happen. And of course, to everyone who set aside their Saturday evening plans to be there!
