you cant hide a channel from someone with administrator. denying them access does nothing because admin bypasses every channel overwrite in the server

so if a channel needs to be actually private, nobody who shouldnt see it can be an admin

a role can only be assigned by someone whose own highest role sits above it in the list

so when your bot cant give someone a role, its usually not the permission. the bots role is just sitting below the one its trying to hand out
