Safety & nature dude.
Living on Wathaurung country; land not ceded by the original inhabitants, steward to bit that I inhabit.

@s3ufuturoex There is a whole lot of opinion without much fact or research.
Aerial seeding can be effective and has been used for many years in Australia

Some places it won't work, some it may, some it will.
@s3ufuturoex It all depends on the species, the availability of seed, time of seeding, and the indigenous nature of the area for the plant community.
To make a snap judgement and statement without actually knowing more is problematic. Explore rather than judge.
Great @AusMammals talk yesterday by @AliciaDimovski on how artificial light at night affects hormones in gliders and bats! Don’t forget to turn off your lights at night 🌚 #AusMammSoc24
@NeilMcMahon Not by email, though it is a repeated conversation and direction at my workplace. Often led by me. Ageing workforce!
"WFH if well enough, if you wish.
Use your sick leave, it is its purpose.
Get well and we'll see you when you're not infectious."
This is not ok . Calling scientists “terrorists” who have no agenda (and don’t even get any money out of this) , whose aim is to educate and inform what the research has found and develop solutions to literally prevent native bee extinctions is just so bigoted and callous .
@declanf Imagine these poor petals back in the 1890s when faced with a whole new constitution. They would have been like freaking jelly with the "if you don't know" challenge
The live camera is online!! https://t.co/u18PCFc1bx
The birds have been very active and laying over the past weeks, if they aren't in front of the lens when you open the link don't worry they are not far :).

@mike_feigin I would have hoped for overglasses or prescription safety glasses. In Aus, expect electrical cables tagged and tested. And shamefully your calendar is still on August 🤷♂️
Live malleefowl content? Even Netflix can't compete! Here is a quick timelapse of this pair hard at work and it is part of an upcoming live camera installation!!! It is nearly ready to go public alongside the new website. Stay tuned! #savingmalleefowl#malleefowl
And in my spare time my building of garden habitat for birds and insects is continuing to progress. 80m³ of mulch spread over winter, and plenty of planting. The birds that winter elsewhere are returning to nest, and the activity continues.
