Bletchley Park was run by historians (Hinsley, Briggs), classicists (Knox, Adcock), musicologists, papyrologists, pure mathematicians (Turing, of course) — people whose degrees would fail Sunak’s test, yet who did more for this country than any number of well-paid City analysts
I can’t get enough of this. He’s like a reverse Robin Hood. Taking from the have-nots to give the wealthy more places to sit outside Pret A Manger.
It doesn’t surprise me, it’s just fantastic that he’s just come out and said it.
Boris has resigned, but he’s still there… aimlessly drifting around 10 Downing Street like a fart from yesterday’s vindaloo.

The year is 2022… and a BBC presenter and someone from the British Army are explaining why “micks” actually isn’t an offensive term for Irish people… 🙄🤦♂️
On Day 943 of my Chevron-orchestrated detention, I am watching Day 11 of a brutal invasion of Ukraine funded in great part by the oil industry. This includes @exxonmobil and @Chevron which generate huge revenue for Putin.

Uragh, an ancient rainforest by the shores of Lough Inchiquin, on the Kerry side of the Beara Peninsula.
This is probably as close as you'll get to primeval wildwood in Ireland, an extremely rare and precious thing (<0.25% of total land area).
NEW: Government has hit us with a shock legal bill in our challenge with @RunnymedeTrust over its appointment of Conservative Peer Dido Harding to run Test and Trace - without open competition. If we don’t defend this, we don’t see who else can.

HMRC sold 600 state owned office buildings to an offshore company for £220 million. We now pay around £400 million a YEAR to rent some of them back for government use. The ex head of HMRC was in charge and is now in charge of offshore accounts for Deloitte.
MPs who have been suspended from Parliament shouldn’t be rewarded with a peerage.
I’ve written to the body that vets House of Lords nominations about Boris Johnson’s attempts to create one rule for him and his mates, another for everyone else.
