Gentle reminder that the British people do not want Kinnock’s ideas, whether they come from him or Burnham. Raiding CGT will be another heavy blow to the economy, with Treasury figures themselves showing that increasing CGT rates will lead to less revenue and lower growth. What it needs instead is to get our unsustainable welfare bill under control, to allow for tax cuts to actually boost growth.

At hideous cost to taxpayers, the European Parliament moves out of Brussels to Strasbourg once a month or so. It even has its own train. No 10 Manchester emulates this pointless model. Sprinkling populism in the eyes of the people won’t solve the real problems of this country.

@GeorgiGotev Wasn’t this where many European delegates stayed during the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council if the EU? It was certainly where the youth delegates had their vodka/dancers party. Does this make the Council and the youth delegates complicit in possible money laundering?
