Elephants use their trunks to spray themselves with water and also wallow in mud. This appeared to be some sort of weird combination. Mud cools them and helps protect them from parasites.

I still can see the sheets flapping in the summer sun. I still can remember how they smelled. And I still have-- and use-- the wooden clothes pins that my mother used to hang them.
