I made it! New York Marathon ✅
It was hard going and a total victory for absolute sheer bloody-mindedness.
It’s not too late to sponsor me to help raise money for @royalmarsden

@O2@O2 would you advise me to cancel my contract with O2 and order with a provider who can deliver to the address I actually request or do you think O2 will be able to competently deal with the new order?
@o2 Can anything be done to sort out my order?
Sunday: Upgrade. You change my delivery address from what I choose to my home address.
Tues: DPD fail to deliver
Weds: As Tuesday
Thurs: They don’t even bother to try - on the one day I could be in. Now they’re returning it to you!
@O2@O2 You’ve got to be kidding! What happens to the fact that I paid some in advance? Does that get refunded and then I pay again? The cost is tied into my new contract that has already been set up. Meanwhile, my existing handset can’t make calls.
Well, well, if I include gift aid you’ve helped me raise £1918.75 for Blood Cancer UK. Thanks so much everyone!
(Imagine if someone or some people added another £81.25!)

And mile 24 is finished. Ended with my fastest mile. Huge thanks to everyone who sponsored and supported me, I’ll check in on the total later - I’m going to bed!

18 miles done. 6 to go. Big thanks to Naomi for a stellar evening shift. As you can see from the photo, it’s a quarter past stupid o’clock right now! Legs stiffening up between runs but loosen up during the miles. Speed still fine.

12 miles in. Halfway. Someone turned off the sun and it’s now dark. Ran during the Sutton match - they lost 2-0. Snuck in a trip to the parents, too. Seem to be going slower but I think that’s because it’s dark. Legs feel fine.

6 miles in and all is going well. Big thanks to Hannah for joining for some miles and to the Smith household for the hospitality. Off for a few miles and some football in Sutton now.

The sky is blue and the weather is set fair. No rain forecast. Mile 1 in the bank. I’ll check in every 6 hours or so to keep anyone interested updated on the run.

1 mile, on the hour, every hour, for 24hrs.
I’m raising money for Blood Cancer UK. I know times are tough for lots of us, but any pounds and pennies hugely appreciated:
