I haven't posted an update in a while, but progress on Coral is still steady. I'm not giving a date, but know that I'm getting towards the end now. All 8 Gyms are done, but there are a few endgame areas and lots of misc. stuff to do.
Some random shots to show It's not dead:
@Rqptor_Omega ah, well i guess my point was just that even under that light people see remakes like ORAS as "replacements" rather than an individual work that can be compared with more than a binary axis
@PoipoleLiker oh i meant the battle frontier oopsie
yeah i really want to try to get into all this stuff, it seems pretty interesting. ive seen countless videos but it's always been "that thing i didnt get to" in gen 3 for me
@Rqptor_Omega the carriage might be bigger, safer, and more comfortable, but lacks some of the speed, grace and discipline you have when riding the horse. it's just down to preference, i wouldnt say there's a true binary or "straight upgrade" here
@Rqptor_Omega id argue it's more like a horse and carriage. without the horse, there'd be no carriage. but without the carriage, you still have the horse. you can ride the horse and get where you need to go quickly, but it lacks the comfort and capacity of the carriage
@PoipoleLiker havent even played the battle tower but its such a downer that they removed it from the remake, all because of wanting to appeal to a broader demographic. even if it has niche appeal, retaining avenues for those who really appreciate an aspect of your franchise is very important
@creeper19221 i guess it really does come down to what you value in a game, then. in my opinion the only things you listed that i thought were neat were the delta episode and upgraded pokenav. though, its hard to be more specific about how i really feel with limited words
