Carlos Mendoza had been forced to use 5 different first basemen, 4 of which aren’t first basemen, 6 different third basemen, 5 different shortstops, 11 different left fielders, 4 different centerfielders, & seven different right fielders through the season’s 1st 81 games. #Mets
Good Morning.
David Stearns is a criminal and should be sent to a super max prison.
Jorge Polanco has missed more games as a Met than Pete Alonso did in 7 years.
Brandon Nimmo was asked about the Mets’ struggles so far this season and said he still believes his former team can turn it around, saying there’s still hope despite New York sitting at 9-19 after a disastrous start:
“Listen, I don’t think anything surprises me anymore,” he said this evening before facing the Yankees. “I was part of that team that started off [0-5 in 2024], and then from May 15 on was the best team in baseball. So I’ve been on both sides of it. I wouldn’t say I’m surprised. Baseball, it takes a long time to have a good or bad season.
So there’s still plenty of time for them to right the ship. And there’s still plenty of time for teams that are hot to go bad. So I wouldn’t say I’m surprised anymore. I’ve seen baseball go a lot of different ways. So now it’s just like, ‘Well, yep, that’s baseball.’ Baseball’s a crazy game.”

Brandon is genuinely the best!❤️🙏
With Soto hurt and the rest of the team stinking, Nolan McLean feels more like 2013 Harvey or 2018 deGrom than ever. Only reason to tune into this “franchise” who can’t score for their young ace.
