12/18 UF Daily Update 🐊

Jadan Baugh was initially rumored to be portal bound with Texas as the destination, but reports now indicate the opposite. Texas is pivoting to other RB options, and Baugh is expected to meet with Jon Sumrall next week as UF works to keep him in Gainesville.

Old Dominion QB Colton Joseph has entered the portal. There is reported mutual interest between Joseph and Florida. This is one to monitor.

TJ Abrams is expected to return to UF after brief portal speculation. He provides solid depth at WR and has shown flashes.

TE Hayden Hansen and DL Michai Boireau plan to enter the transfer portal. Boireau totaled 35 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 INT over two seasons, while Hansen finished his UF career with 611 yards and 5 TDs.

Lane Kiffin attempted to hire UF DL coach Gerald Chapman, but Florida successfully retained him on staff.

there is growing confidence in WR Eugene Wilson III’s future with the Gators. Keeping the former All-SEC freshman would be a major win for Sumrall and his staff.

Rumors linking UF to Colorado WR Omarion Miller are false. There has been no contact between UF and Miller’s camp.
