Also inaugurated the school's new kitchen, further strengthening learning and student facilities.
Today, I attended the programme organized by the Tinsukia District Committee of the All Assam Adivasi Students’ Association (AASAA) at Bichakupi Tea Garden to commemorate the death anniversary of Bir Birsa Munda.
PM Modi combined structural reforms with grassroots delivery. Within 1,132 days, GST replaced a complex tax regime with a unified system, while within 1,433 days, the Saubhagya Scheme ensured 100% village electrification. #12YearsOfSeva

Chaired several important meetings covering a lot of important avenues.
1️⃣Freeing up our lands from encroachers remains our top priority. Over the last 5 years we have reclaimed over 200 sq km from encroachers. We are now taking robust steps to ensure encroachers are never able to return to these lands.
2️⃣Have instructed our Education, Health, Power and other key infra departments to identify critical projects that can come under the ambit of the Centre’s Viability Gap Funding initiative to shore up our growth trajectory
3️⃣We will be taking all measures to augment investment in agri infra, support exporters of GI tagged and organic products and utilise all possible Central support in this endeavour. The Agri Infrastructure Fund (AIF) is a major component in this direction in which Centre has assured us full support.
I have also asked departments to link agri producers and farmers to aggregators and other stakeholders to help them reach export markets and boost their income.
@CMOfficeAssam
Our Double Engine Govt is committed to the all round welfare of the tea garden community and ensuring healthcare is a key priority in this direction.
To take health services deep inside gardens, 200 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have already been built and many more are on the way.

Access to safe drinking water has expanded drastically. From 3.23 crore rural homes with tap water in 2014-15, India has connected over 15 crore additional households, transforming everyday life across villages. #12YearsOfGaribKalyan
Welfare delivery in India has undergone a silent revolution. Digital platforms now ensure social security benefits reach citizens directly, reducing delays, improving transparency and eliminating layers of intermediaries. #12YearsOfGaribKalyan
On this solemn occasion, I paid my heartfelt tributes to the five young martyrs of the All Assam Tea Tribes Students' Association who laid down their lives in 1988 while participating in a movement for the rights and aspirations of the tea tribes community
Remembering Krishna Kanta Handiqui with deep respect on his death anniversary. His dedication to knowledge and learning remains a guiding light for all.
A decade ago, too many families in Assam faced the heartbreak of losing a child in infancy.
Today, our Infant Mortality Rate has fallen from 49 to 29, driven by stronger mother-and-child healthcare facilities, better services and welfare schemes.
Encouraging progress, with much more to achieve.
