College of Defence Management, Secunderabad, #CDM_IDS successfully conducted the Defence Management Course Serial 21 #DMC_21 which brought together 22 officers from the Indian Defence Forces and 16 officers from Friendly Foreign Countries — 🇧🇩 🇰🇪 🇲🇻 🇱🇰 🇳🇵 — to strengthen defence management and international cooperation.

Participant officers explored core concepts of defence management, including Strategic Planning, Resource Allocation, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership Development and Financial and Supply Chain Management — Skills to help officers navigate an evolving security environment and work together more effectively.

Indian and foreign officers together visited defence industry units, heritage sites in Hyderabad, engaging with India's growing defence industrial base, its ancient knowledge systems and its perspectives on global issues — building relationships that go beyond borders.

Officer Cadets #OCs of Cadets Training Wing #CTW, #MCEME, Secunderabad displayed exceptional grit, stamina, mental resilience & camaraderie during the gruelling Inter Platoon Cross-Country Competition (Autumn Term-2026) held on 26 Jul 2026. Pushing through challenging conditions, the OCs pushed their physical & mental limits, showcasing true mettle. #Shivaji Platoon emerged as Champion Platoon with a stellar team performance. In the individual category, OC Vikrant Singh clinched the Gold Medal with a very fast timing of 43 mins 27 sec for the 12.6 km route.

Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney, AVSM, VSM, Comdt, #MCEME & Col Comdt, Corps of #EME, delivered the Closing Address for the Officers of SO(EME)-145 Course at the Faculty of Emerging Military Technologies #FEMT on 10 Jul 2026.

Emphasising that command is both an honour & a profound responsibility, he urged Officers to uphold the highest standards of financial probity, moral courage & professional integrity. He encouraged them to prepare a clear roadmap for future command appointments, embrace lifelong learning, exercise sound judgement in complex situations & remember that true leadership lies in choosing the ‘harder right over the easy wrong’.

Drawing inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita's principle of ‘Nishkam Karma’, he called upon Officers to lead with humility, integrity & selfless service, exercise authority with wisdom & responsibility, balance technical excellence with administrative responsibilities, think long-term, innovate fearlessly & inspire through personal example. Reminding them that leadership often demands courage, resilience & decisive action over easy popularity, he urged every Officer to become a leader worthy of emulation.
