@sianijohnscn Hi Siani, 3D printing is so fascinating to me. I honestly can't wait for it to become hugely widespread. I just hope that its spreads in a more eco-friendlier way because there are definitely a lot of leftover plastic from some 3D prints. #DCIM353McCormick
@kmc530 Hi Kaylyn, I find this really interesting. I also want to add that I think self-driving cars could be something that may start emerging more often in the future maybe the 2030s and become mainstream around maybe the 2050s. #DCIM353McCormick
@JakeM_EDU Hi Jake, I agree with you I can definitely see AI and VR being more prominent in the future and thus being more involved in education. I think as people are more aware of the tech, more educated people will be motivated to create these personalized experiences. #DCIM353McCormick
AI and Machine learning will become more mainstream in the future. It is predicted that by the 2030s AI robots will be more versatile being able to perform a wider range of tasks in human-like ways. This can be good and bad as it can take away certain jobs. #DCIM353McCormick
@JakeM_EDU Hi Jake, not really sure how cloud streaming works but I'm just going to assume this would be really helpful for storage-heavy PC games. They also would not have to be updated manually like Overwatch/Valorant where you have to download the new updated content. #DCIM353McCormick
@vishaka_rao Hi Vishaka, I think your topic is really interesting. Thinking about comparing other companies who did something similar to when Netflix was starting out like Blockbusters (renting DVDS) would also be interesting. #DCIM353McCormick
@MasonDCIM AI has its flaws and is still being perfected. But it has the potential to be smarter with no mistakes. It can definitely be a real scare to the job market. What happens then when there are no jobs? Do we just live the lifestyle they have in Wall-E? #DCIM353McCormick
I think I want to do my project on the metaverse, a 3d immersive virtual space that players can interact with others and play multiple experiences, like VR, Roblox, Overwatch, etc. It will change people's lives through education, communication, and more. #DCIM353McCormick
@VICTORIAMA69283 Hi Victoria, we definitely do compartmentalize parts of our identity to fit whatever social media we are using. For me, TikTok is a silly space, whereas Instagram is more aesthetic, while something like LinkedIn is more professional. #DCIM353McCormick
@MasonDCIM This is a good example of changing social identities. I just want to add on, due to COVID and people being forced into their homes for an extended period of time with nothing to do, allowed for some people to explore/question their sexualities more, if not ever. #DCIM353McCormick
@BohanLiu6982199 Hi Bohan, I completely agree with you that norms are always changing back and forth, the same can be said about social identities. I know that some people may flip flop between sexualities trying to figure out which really fits them well. #DCIM353McCormick
Social norms are always changing. For instance, it wasn't a norm to wear masks all the time before COVID, and then it was, and now it's not anymore. Identities are always changing too. Especially as young adults, we are always trying to figure out who we are. #DCIM353McCormick
@KATHERI93292019 Hi Katherine, Emma Watson is a great example of a leader as she is very involved. People who have watched her from the popular Harry Potter franchise may look up to her and be influenced by her.
@y58637210 Hi Yoali, I agree with you that Selena Gomez is a leader. She has definitely influenced me growing up. From the work she is doing now I feel like is no different from what she has preached during her Disney days about beauty and kindness.
@CorcoranJarred Hi Jarred, I think Mr. Beast is a great example. While he is a content creator and essentially creates entertaining videos he makes each video have a similar theme where he is giving to others. In a way, he influences people to help others which is a great aspect of a leader.
Bretman Rock is a leader known as an internet celebrity who started as a YouTube beauty guru. He is known as a leader by supporting charities. He inspires others to be kind, independent, and work hard. For example, he helped raise money towards wildlife and ill fans. #LIDC90
@faberCodes Hi Juliette,
I like how you said that social media is key to building trust for leaders. Technology creates new kinds of relationships that leaders need to maintain in new ways compared to face-to-face relationships.
@sapir_be Hi Sapir,
I like the article you shared. I feel like as technology continues to advance so does communications and leaders need to, like you said, adapt in order to continue being an effective leader.
@Meghna_Mehta02 Hi Meghna,
I thought the article was very interesting. Social media can really help a business grow. But it's also good to note that while it cane "make" a business it can also "break" a business.
