This morning we held a one minute silence to remember our fallen friend. The silence commenced and ended with a toll of the station bell.Arron was a well respected colleague and a friend to all.
Our hearts and thoughts are with Arron's family and loved one's.
RIP to a legend x

GW & RDS attended a domestic fire in Fleet last night. Apologies for the disruption on the high street. Fire was significant but extinguished quickly with 3 breathing apparatus crews.

Santa visited the station this morning. Bypassed the tree and went straight for the food in the kitchen. Fair play to him. Merry Christmas everybody, from all the firefighters at Rushmoor x

We organised an off station exercise last night in Farnborough. This was walk & talk style training for a Hazardous Materials incident that involved firefighters from @Basingstoke_01 @fleet04 @Yateley14 GW & On call from Rushmoor.

A memorial gathering has been arranged by Lisa @MumBensons at Farnborough Football Club on the 27th of July.

While the large fire in the open near Blackbushe airport was still ongoing yesterday, a mix of crew from RW & RDS attended several incidents. One of which was this shed / fence fire in Aldershot. The rest of the day was mostly made up of sending relief crews to the Heath fire.

Busy this weekend alongside other appliances from @HantsIOW_fire to large fire in open at the #Longmoor ranges. Unfortunately, 16 hectares have now been lost.

We are dealing with a large fire involving heathland and gorse. The fire is in #Aldershot (off Wellesley Road) and residents are asked to avoid Jubilee Hill and Long Valley areas.

There will be significant movements of our vehicles in the area while we deal with this incident.
