@wazzaster@SingSongSoup@IsabelOakeshott I’ve had a BB for 20 years and have never had a face to face interview. Have also had DLA/PiP for same period without ever having a face to face or phone interview. The only actual face to face interaction I’ve ever had relating to benefits was for council tax reduction.

@theGlimmerTwin @gazza_d It they don’t comply with LTN1/20 pretty much any disabled cyclist complaining about them will result in them being changed or the responsible council losing the potential subsequent legal case under the disability act
@PDD2002DDP @gazza_d An what about those disabled cyclists like myself that a barrier like this is impassable, there are standards for these things for a reason…
@Nobbie2020 @gazza_d That’s not an option for a disabled cyclist on a hand cycle like myself, if this barrier met the published standards it wouldn’t be a problem, as it is it might as well be a 10ft high solid concrete wall….
@lan3y@Wheels4Well@Tradescant @gazza_d @NationalHways Equality act actions are taken in the small claims court, as such don’t establish legal precedence and don’t even force the defendant to change anything - in just about every case I’ve ever heard of with a disabled person making a complaint the barriers are changed fairly quickly
@Jontafkasi @darrenrowe Not sure many Americans would recognise the English flag and using the Union Flag would represent at least 2 Other languages in addition to English..
