The Bethlehem/Oliver Tambo intersection has been temporarily opened.

We will close it off again on Thursday to process sub base layers, and open it on Friday for traffic to flow over the weekend, to ease the weekend traffic pressure.

Leyds is alternative route, however we have temporarily opened up Klopper street as an alternative as well, for the week.

We anticipate opening for traffic next Saturday, when Base layer has cured.

That section will be brought down to 2 lanes (from 4lanes), it’s a half width construction. We will be excavating to roadbed from 10 a.m (21/06/18)

Kindly note that the fix also involves relocation. The pipe will be lowered so as not to affect layerworks, kerbing and pavement at the business entrance.
