@HolyMolySakura If they are too closely related then they can not mate …Moe is supposedly Kibe���s sister making her Punch’s aunt. They prevent any mating between marques who are too closely related to prevent inbreeding…..not sure how “distantly” related they have to be for it to be ok to mate.

@Cha_Shu_Meen @ticagg Maybe they can take Otome out again for a while …most likely it was Yae also in on it …now that Otome has a newborn she is more aggressive. Earlier in the year they moved Otome and Yae out for a while when they were aggressive toward Punch. Dont know how this affects her baby .

@trumps_kitten @qWv0cZ46i190157 Akira is older and has been the Alpha for over 10 years I would guess he fathered many of the older females babies years ago …the zoo is careful to be sure there is no inbreeding -that may involve vasectomies for some males..maybe even Akira. He can’t be everyone’s dad lol

@trumps_kitten @qWv0cZ46i190157 I read that Momo is the leader of the troop. She is Hannah’s mom and Hannah is Riyo’s mom Riyo is Momiage’s mom. The next highest line is the Mimi line -Mimi who recently had Sakura is also Moe and Kibe’s mom. Moe and Momiage are high ranking which has helped Punch a lot!

@YVemula5063 Probably a mom from Moe’s family or Momiage’s family. The babies from Otome’s family are off limits. Punch knows that already. So glad he has the little ones to interact with. When Punch’s fur color changes soon we will still be able to find him since he’s the baby magnet!

@michellemcohil1 The zoo KNOWS millions of us are watching…if they needed to give him a medication that was going to alter his behavior/abilities , I believe they would announce it so the public would know what to expect….i trust they know what they are doing and will address the issue soon.

@Daniell93119839 @YVemula5063 I read she is Mimi’s baby. Mimi is Kibe, Moe and Momiji’s mom too. Kibe is rumored to be Punch’s mom. Momiji also has a new baby. So Sakura is actually Punch’s Auntie like Moe. The Mimi group KNOWS Punch is “one of them” by this facial features. Not 100% sure, read it on internet

@SarahReports7 Do you know if Sakura is Mimi’s baby? The internet can give conflicting info and nothing is confirmed by the zoo…but I read Mimi is also Moe and kibe’s mom. Since Moe and Punch are so close, Mimi accepts Punch too so she knows Sakura is safe with him???

@melody2angel2 @YVemula5063 I think Sakura is Mimi’s baby. I read Mimi’s older daughters are Moe, and Kibe (punch’s mom) and another daughter who had a baby this year. So then Sakura is Punch’s young Auntie. Since Moe is close to Punch most of her family is ok with him so that could be why.

@YVemula5063 @AnaMariaSalAri They don’t sleep in the outdoor enclosure, they all go in the back. Punch sleeps with friends only. The others are put separated into groups in separate rooms/enclosures…the zoo knows who to group together safely. I am sure there are cameras and monitoring.

@YVemula5063 I think the babies born to Punch’s REAL aunties ect might be the moms who aren’t as tense when Punch is around their babies. He did bring his plushie over to his auntie and baby a few weeks ago and she seemed unfazed by Punch getting so close. I think her name is Momiji.

@YVemula5063 I look forward to Kibe being a mom, but maybe now was too soon. She may have been put on birth control this round. I think since Punch needs Moe and Momiage they will be given birth control for the next birth season. Just my opinion…but they both will be great moms one day!

@YVemula5063 Not sure how accurate Google chat is …but I read Kibe’s mom Mimi also had a baby this time …I think it’s Shakira …and Moe is Kibe’s sister, so she is REALLY Punch’s auntie. Marques can match genetic facial resemblances..they know Punch is FAMILY even if there is no birth bond

@YVemula5063 The consensus is pretty solid that Kibe gave birth to Punch in July 2025. Although contraceptives were used last mating season….unknowingly to the zoo staff Kibe still became pregnant and gave birth. Rumors she just had a new baby, but some say no it was her sister who had one

@YVemula5063 Was it Kibe or her sister that gave birth ? At first I heard it was Kibe then I heard it was her sister. I was hoping it wasn’t her this time since she struggled last time. And I like when I see her spend time with Punch even though she doesn’t know he’s hers.
