From 1640 outstanding entries, tomorrow at 2pm we announce our 2023 shortlist! These 30 LL writers have gone through 4 rounds of reading plus have been read by our judges. All our LL writers are so talented and such a lovely bunch of writers. We wish them every success for tomorrow and we hope you will not only join us in congratulating our 10 shortlisted writers but also continue this journey with us and cheering them on to the 1st August when our winner is announced. Markings were indistinct though his beak was very yellow. Cyclist saw him by the side of the road and then blown into our hedge by a tractor. Came back to look for him - a good person.
