Research needs a balance of risk-taking in ‘breakthrough projects’ and long-term, gradual progress. For building sustainable knowledge bases, it is indispensable to provide balanced support for both, rather than placing ever higher value on disrupte breakthrough innovation.

Solche Studien sind teuer. Darum braucht es schnellstens Förderung von Therapieforschung.

Es gibt genug prüfbare Hypothesen.

Studien bezüglich Prävalenz und Symptomen sind zwar einfacher und billiger, aber mittlerweise sinnlos - wir wissen, dass Long Covid zu häufig ist.

Ein Wundermittel wird auch Rintantolimod nicht sein, aber möglicherweise ein Pfeil mehr im Köcher der Therapie bei ME/CFS und Long Covid.

Wir brauchen dringend diese Therapieforschung!

Ich hab da durch meine Spezialisierung durchaus einen Bias, aber von monatelangen Wartezeiten hört man auch bei LC-Ambulanzen.

Es gibt ja zudem Verschiedene formen der evidenz/ des med. Wissens. Es gibt aktuell wenig bis keine rcts zu Lc und me/cfs, aber extrem viel Erfahrungswissen von patient*innen und ärzt*innen, das viel systematischer zusammengetragen werden müsste.

Wir haben aktuell leider wenig Evidenz zur Therapie von #LongCovid.

Was nicht zwingend heißt, dass man nichts versuchen kann - man muss über Risiken im klaren und bezüglich Effekt kritisch sein.

Ähnliches wie in diesem Artikel versuche ich auch.
