"Hosepipe ban could last until winter, firm says."
I was in Norfolk at the weekend looking at the rivers Stiffkey and Wensum, both chalk streams, both completely knackered, nothing but a trickle left and in parts drying up.
One of the primary culprits, Anglian Water who leak about 180 million litres of water per day from their underinvested, badly maintained, cracked network of pipes.
Take responsibility, certainly not, especially when you can blame your customers and drain local rivers dry.

One of the questions I was asked on @LBC the other night was what can 'normal' people do to help.
The answer, we need to turn the volume up to number 15, here's your chance, sign it, then get your family to sign it, your friends, your neighbours, the people in the next street over, turn the volume up to number 15.
A prelude of what is to come.
Just you wait until this drought breaks and that inevitable deluge of rain comes and with it million of tons of sh*t getting dumped into our rivers and onto our beaches.
You wouldn't walk your dog in this heat. So why are greyhounds still being forced to race? 🥵
With temperatures soaring, the RSPCA (England & Wales) is urging dog owners to avoid exercising their dogs during the hottest parts of the day to keep them safe.
Yet greyhound racing is still going ahead.
Our latest press release explains why we're deeply concerned that greyhounds are being forced to race in extreme temperatures, and why it's time to put their welfare before profits.

Uncut grass keeps the ground at around 19.5°C
Grass cut to 10 cm raises the ground temperature to about 24.5°C
Bare ground in the middle of summer rises to over 40°C
It's important to raise awareness #NoMowMay
This is why this disgusting cruel sport should be banned across Britain @GreenPartyHan@ZackPolanski
Shamefully racing took place today in extreme heat at Dunstall Park, Harlow, Doncaster and Sunderland. Temperatures rose above 33°C in the UK today and despite advice from real vets and leading animal charities advising people to keep their dogs out of the heat, the dog abusing industry went ahead and allowed racing.
You'll want to be sitting down for this bit.
Water companies are currently £82.7 billion in debt, have paid themselves £85 billion in dividends, leak over a trillion of litres of water per year, dump sewage for almost 4 million hours per year, have been convicted of over 1,200 criminal acts since 1989 and an average of 35% of your bill goes on nothing but paying more interest and yet more dividends.
And not a single company has ever lost their operating licence. 👇
A wool jumper, made in 1985, washed in cold water once a month, worn through three decades of British winters, would currently be sitting in someone's wardrobe doing fine.
A polyester fleece, made in 2026, machine-washed weekly, will start to lose its structural integrity within three to five years, shed an estimated 700,000 microfibres per wash into the water system, and end its life in landfill where it will persist for approximately 200 years.
The wool jumper:
- Came from a sheep
- Required grass and rain
- Will biodegrade entirely within three years of being buried
- Will keep you warm when wet
- Will not melt if exposed to a flame
- Will probably outlive you
- Cost £80 in 1985, which is £230 today, and represents the entire jumper budget for the next forty years
The polyester fleece:
- Came from an oil refinery in Texas
- Required hexane extraction, polymerisation and dyeing in three different factories on three different continents
- Will not biodegrade in any human timeframe
- Will get cold and clammy when wet
- Will melt against your skin if exposed to a flame
- Will be in landfill within five years
- Cost £40 in 2026, which means you'll buy ten of them across the next forty years for a total of 400, and the planet will still be eating the residue in the year 2226
But yes. The sheep is the problem.
The sheep, standing in a field in mid-Wales, growing a renewable fibre from grass and rain.
The sheep is the problem.
A man known for animal abuse with a spaniel bred for extreme features that’ll lead to health issues has won Best In Show in @Crufts. This is disgraceful, poor dogs. Please do better and stop popularising these breeds #Crufts2026 !
"Salmon fishing banned from Hampshire’s River Test."
The Environment Agency was established in 1995 with a specific legal obligation to "to maintain, improve and develop", "fisheries of salmon, trout, eels".
And what's it achieved in the last 31 years?
The entire UK population of Atlantic salmon is now on the endangered species list along with black rhinos, tigers and mountain gorillas while the number of salmon now returning to the River Test to spawn are deemed to be at "critically low levels".
Hell of a job the boys, hell of a job.

"This is illegal, you’re watching this happen...it’s illegally in pursuit of a fox"
We’ve witnessed a hound from the Cottesmore Hunt following the scent of an exhausted fox. @NhantsHuntsabs are trying to call the hound off.

Palm oil is the leading cause of orangutan decline and affects 193 threatened species worldwide.
The government cannot ignore this. Stronger action is urgently needed.

This is a photo of a bee in the US
The pollen on her legs is from dandelions & her tongue is sticking out because she’s been killed due to weed killer on dandelion flowers
Remember this #Spring what many see as weeds, is natures food for #insects
No bees, no insects, no life

After a request from Dorset Police we have supplied them the entirety of our five hour broadcast tracking the Blackmore & Sparkford Vale Hunt from last Saturday.
Police are collating “multiple breaches” of a Community Protection Notice served to the BSV Hunt – such notice is served when a force receive reports of ‘persistent antisocial behaviour’ from an individual or group.
The BSV are the worst offending hunt in the country for chasing foxes according to reporting from @ProtectTheWild_ – and on Saturday we witnessed multiple foxes fleeing for their lives, hound chaos on roads, as well as verbal abuse and physical intimidation from hunt support towards us and the brave @HuntSabs.
The @Telegraph and @DailyMail claimed we harassed the hunters… will they now apologise?
It’s like we’ve got a tardis and have gone back in time to an ancient medieval savagery! Watching these people who are clearly not laying and following a scent trail but instead are actively hunting foxes on a Saturday morning! Help to stop fox hunting: https://t.co/gV6owKxh94
All roads have led to today for the Stage 1 debate and vote at Holyrood to #BanGreyhoundRacing in Scotland. Harris will be with me in spirit and his name tag in my hand. Almost 9 years of hard work and campaigning with @Nomyhound162522 and here we are. 🙏🏻💙🏴
