My mother Thelma Dann (who died in 2021) of Whitchurch Cardiff would have been so thrilled to hear that @Guto_Harri has just been appointed to his new role …. Teachers and tutors remember their students ….
@DiabetesUKCymru@williams_dai Yes a massive thank @williams_dai from my family - my dad (John Dann) felt so privileged to have both his 60 years and 70 years medal for being a T1 diabetic presented you ……he says you have made a massive impact on pushing diabetes onto people’s horizons enjoy your retirement
Today my dad was awarded the John Macleod medal for being a type 1 diabetic for over 70yrs. He could not have done it without mum, who sadly died in March before the medal could be presented by National Director (Wales) Dai Williams of @diabetesUK

There was a lovely moment on #GardenersWorld when @TheMontyDon was sitting with his two favourite carnivores (Nellie and Sarracenia). I thought I’d try and paint it!
It seems when we reach a certain age we collect jugs. @janegarvey1 #Fortunately has 11. You NEED at least 1 small, medium and large in height; a narrow medium and wide neck in each height; a narrow base, tapering base and bulbous base.....a range of colours..plain & patterned!
Fabulous water workshop with @alliepottinger today..... not used watercolour for ages.... very different from acrylic - but I’ve definitely been inspired to do more ( but use less salt)
Thank you Sara Wheeler @saradwheeler for your #point_of_view on radio 4 on the perpetual lockdown of those with mental incapacity. Both our adopted daughters are in the same predicament. They are the forgotten people, whose lives seem to have no meaning to the world.
I’m off to Lidl in search of ‘shoulder lowering serenity’ whilst ‘dancing on the edge of bitterness’. Thank you Nigella. I just love your emotional and passionate language #CookEatRepeat
