We aren't mean, we just can't afford it. After all the taxes we pay and our worthless dollar...the US is an expensive destination.

@Sophie359850060@CP24 Large jackpots drive sales. Not as many people would spend $6 for a $1 million payout, so the jackpot would never grow to $90 million. But if you win, you can always share the $90 million with 90 families.
@Techmanmike1@CP24 Only 50% of lottery revenue goes into the jackpots. The rest is put into government and community programs. So what you are proposing already happens.
@Techmanmike1@CP24 The government has already received the tax on the money people use to voluntarily play the game. What you are proposing is just another cash grab on an already over-taxed population.
@JohnMcG92512033@YukonStrong Alberta already has 5 refineries that can process 579,000 barrels per day . As a province we only consume 110,000 barrels per day. So we produce more than enough to supply Albertas personal demand.
Leaving 469,000 barrels in refined fuel products to export.
@gman5180 There is no way this woman is 41 unless she has smoked 3 packs of Marlboro's and downed a 40 of vodka every day. Shes got more wrinkles than an elephant trunk.
