Recognized under the "Excellence in Health" Category, this milestone reflects our enduring contribution to strengthening Rwanda's health system and workforce by training more than 26,000 health professionals.

Our impact extends beyond the classroom through a community-based training model that has reached nearly 500,000 people via clinical placements, outreach programmes, and university health services.

In his remarks, Minister Nsengimana emphasized that research must go beyond academic outputs to address national priorities, create jobs, strengthen industries, and improve lives.
“If Rwanda is to compete successfully in this environment, we cannot rely solely on knowledge produced elsewhere. We must generate new knowledge, transform it into innovation, and ultimately export solutions that address challenges both within our country and across our continent.”
He further noted that Rwanda's greatest natural resource is not what lies beneath its soil, but the talent, creativity, and ingenuity of its people.
