Dear Hermann,
Thank you for your question.
The applicable standard for bread products requires the declaration of the date of manufacture (production date) and the best before date as part of the product labelling requirements. We appreciate your interest in food safety and consumer awareness.

Minister @YvanButera at the 2nd Edition of the Nordic Baltic Forum in kigali:
” Rwanda, together with our partners is proud of the remarkable progress we have achieved in maternal and newborn health, and we are ready to take the next leap forward with like‑minded partners. Today, Rwanda’s maternal mortality ratio has declined significantly, and nearly all births : 98 % take place in health facilities with skilled health providers, reflecting our strong commitment to safe delivery. Our immunization systems protect our children: 94 % of children aged 12–23 months are fully vaccinated with basic antigens, and 98 % receive key individual vaccines like BCG. And because no one should be left behind, over 90 % of Rwandans are covered by community‑based or private health insurance schemes, ensuring access to quality health services without financial hardship. We invite the Nordic and Baltic countries to join us in a mutually beneficial collaboration to accelerate progress. Rwanda is not only one of Africa’s fastest‑improving health landscapes but also a place where your investment yields high return ; improving lives, strengthening institutions, and driving innovation in a transparent, non‑corrupt environment. Together, we can scale successes in maternal and newborn care, empower more women and families, and demonstrate how results‑oriented partnerships can transform health for generations.”@RwandaHealth
CEO @RDBrwanda Jean Guy Africa:
”@RwandaFDA achieved WHO Maturity level 3 which means that the Rwanda FDA has demonstrated that it can consistently and effectively regulate medical products according to internationally recognized standards.
Rwanda is becoming a regional biotechnology and vaccine manufacturing hub, hosting facilities by BioNTech. The objective is to produce vaccines locally in Africa, strengthen health security, and improve access to innovative vaccines across the continent, reducing reliance on imports during future health emergencies.
We invite the Nordics and the Baltics to invest in Rwanda’s Life Sciences Sector”
