Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business
@TheMiyazakiMan You can say Wirtz is one of our own and needs support without pretending he wasn't as bad. He was hooked for the very reason that he wasn't playing well.
@kealyk3 I do not like Carragher a bit, but to suggest people who watch Wirtz play must be full of praise for him otherwise they must be influenced by Carragher is ridiculous. We have seen Wirtz play, we're in the second season now, we see what we see. It’s not hate.
@pythaginboots Well said, those who back him musn't pretend he's playing well. They will pull out archive footage of him in the German shirt or at Bayer but nothing to show in two seasons what he can do in England. Also to add, don’t blame other players when the player you like is ass.
@YaYaNuts67@MindOfSamue@SamueILFC He's a stupid cunt and it has nothing to do with the continent he’s from. We have stupid people everywhere and we must condemn them for their stupidity not the continent they come from or any other factor for that matter. I am from Africa myself.
@Okay_Wasabi Dude, i grew up with rugged ass pcs you had to crack games and shit, somedays you fuck up the whole system and get stuck. I wouldn’t wanna go through that again imagine i mess up the whole system. This thing is costly.
@50shadesofLizie I would complain the same. My problem with what i see from Wirtz is not relative to his price tag. It’s about his performances not being at the level of a premier league player. There are players in league 2 that'd play better than Wirtz in the league.
@LFCTransferRoom Wether you agree or disagree with either of the two men, the fact remains. Wirtz has been way below the level of a player worth wearing the red shirt. We trashed Jones and Elliott for much much better performances than what Wirtz has been able to produce for us.
@McFlybowy That's where the cheating comes in. It's not a luxury other teams don't want, but it's a necessity to suffer the consequences of their player choices. What you are praising Manchester City for is a direct result of their cheating. So, your argument is a non-starter.
@SamMcGuire90 They saw what those hard-working players did for the club, desired to be part of it, and now that they're here, none of them bar the two french players have made a difference.
@JoeHunter_@CoutoPress Also, for people who stand by the "they won it on the pitch" line: to what extent does one believe that is indeed the case? In my books, if they cheat and break the rules with finances, i am certain digging deep will reveal more dishonesty with refs and more.
