If I had to describe the feeling around the league — at least among the people I spoke to — in one word, it would be “baffled.”
Outside of the COVID-19 pandemic, no one seems to remember a professional hockey game being postponed because of illness, especially not a decisive playoff game.
Haley Winn played 31:29 today against the Ottawa Charge, she had 9 shots on goal, she scored her first career goal, and she also scored in the shootout.
No PWHL rookie is even close to the impact she's had for Boston IMO.
No idea how she wasn't recognized by the PWHL's player of the month honors, but if Haley Winn isn't on your list as an early candidate for Rookie of the Year and Defender of the Year, you aren't watching.
Just a fantastic start to her pro career. #PWHL
I wish I tweeted more. I have all of these existential thoughts and think “that’s a great tweet” but I’ve just never used the app so the thoughts go unheard.
Does anybody see these?
@AmericanAir I don’t think I have ever flown with you and gotten to my destination on time. Come to think of it 50% of the time I miss my connection too and get stranded somewhere. Or have to cancel all together. You are the Walmart version of airlines.
Its an absolute joke that we don’t allow contact in women’s sports, specifically hockey. It’s become completely subjective. You can hit sometimes depending on the refs. Or if it makes a loud noise it gets called… can we just make an objective rule. Tired of crap subjective calls
