Vanaf het vaccinatieseizoen 2027/2028 gebruikt Zweden geen mRNA-vaccins van Pfizer en Moderna meer, maar enkel nog Nuvaxovid, een vaccin op basis van eiwitten. Daarmee is het het eerste land dat die stap volledig zet.
