Maryland Governor Wes Moore says he’s created a redistricting commission to defend democracy.

Maryland has eight districts. Only one is now Republican.

He’s trying to make that one into zero.

Only about half of Maryland is registered Democrat. The rest is about 25% Republican with the remainder being unaffiliated or with minor parties.

Yet Moore wants every district to be represented by a Democrat.

How is that democracy?
