I'm reminded of the Henry Ford quote "you can have any colour car as long as it's black."
Mexicans are good at integrating people - in this case the usually reserved Koreans, because Mexicans want you to perform your behaviours in a Mexican way, and they make you part of the in-crowd quickly.
Compare this to other countries, like Germany, where even if you speak German fluently there's a good chance they'll switch to English and ignore your efforts, making you wonder what the point of learning the difficult language was.
EDIT: I have no idea why I called "Henry Ford" as "Harrison Ford" lol, my apologies.
The Scots rendition of their national anthem last night is further evidence that we need to do away with God Save The King and move to Jerusalem.
An actual anthem, not a wanky tribute to a family of paedophile enabling lizards.
Discovered whilst watching Scotland back with the kids this morning that, because of the song, my 4 year old daughter thinks Andy Robertson is called “Andy, Andy, Andy, Andy Robertson”
🇲🇽🇮🇹 A group of Mexican fans spotted an Italian reporter broadcasting live at the World Cup.
After launching him into the air a few times, the journalist asked them to say something in Italian.
One fan's response?
"Spaghetti bolognese." 😭🍝🇲🇽🇮🇹
This is what the World Cup is all about. ❤️
The single South Korea could have felt slightly intimidated surrounded by Hundreds of Mexican fans. Instead, the Mexicans embraced him, dancing with him and even throwing him in the air…. 🤣
Love it! 🇲🇽🤝🇰🇷
The hypocrisy of some German football clubs and players is hard to ignore.
During the Qatar World Cup, clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Union Berlin, and St. Pauli led massive boycott campaigns, constantly lectured the world about human rights, morality, and boycotts.
Now, when similar human rights concerns are raised about USA, that same outrage is nowhere to be found.
If human rights are universal, then the standards should be universal too.
Otherwise, it's not principle..it's selective activism. Germany hypocrisy is insane
En las últimas 48 horas EEUU, anfitrión del Mundial:
- No dejó ingresar y deportó al árbitro Omar Abdulkadir Artan, el mejor de África
- Retuvo 7 horas a Aymen Hussein, delantero irakí
- Raqueteó a las selecciones de Senegal y Uzbekistán cual delincuentes
- Tuvo dos tiroteos

Ireland must not play Israel at any venue - moving the game doesn’t address the reality that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

The most revealing line in Southampton’s statement is:-
‘We cannot accept a sanction which bears no proportion to the offence… Southampton has been denied the opportunity to compete in a game worth more than £200 million.’
But that completely undermines their own argument.
If the match is worth £200 million and meant everything to the club, then the incentive to gain any unfair advantage was enormous.
And who exactly were they trying to deny that opportunity to?
Middlesbrough.
You cannot simultaneously argue:
1. The stakes were colossal
2. The offence was minor
3. The punishment should be small
The higher the stakes, the greater the importance of protecting sporting integrity.
