@ravens4dummies the raiders, surgeon, nor player were going to express any longterm concerns in discussions leading up to agreement. Ravens were always going to have to make that determination on their own as is their right. Not the ravens prerogative to help other teams manage their FA plans

@RavensSalaryCap Think it’s the reason they haven’t been able to extend. indications are ravens want Tyler. I have a hard time imagining their offer wouldn’t make him highest paid C. But I think what he commands on open market is substantial delta over simply becoming highest paid C at this point

Certainly they won’t allow a lateral move while he’s under contract. But for fun, curious who they could add up front to fit his style? Excluding Crosby.

@FilmstudyRavens Well said. Maybe not a good contract as evidenced by fact it was done 3 years ago and remains the highest in guarantees and total value (by a long shot on TV) with only Warner surpassing in APY, but… still a very important/great player who they will need to perform in 2026

@All_22_NFL_Cuts success in the winning streak came against inexperienced/mediocre QBs. Good results against Stafford but was fools gold imo (drops+puka sitting 2nd half+weather). Don’t have the horses to get pressure so I get the need for it but not sustainable. Vets can exploit as you allude
