– Doszedłem do wniosku, że w obecnej sytuacji najlepszą decyzją dla dobra drużyny narodowej będzie moja rezygnacja ze stanowiska selekcjonera. Pełnienie tej funkcji było spełnieniem moich zawodowych marzeń i największym życiowym zaszczytem – oświadcza Michał Probierz.

– Bardzo dziękuję wszystkim moim współpracownikom, pracownikom PZPN. Zawsze mogłem na Was liczyć. Dziękuję za zaufanie prezesowi i zarządowi PZPN. Dziękuję oczywiście wszystkim piłkarzom, z którymi miałem przyjemność spotkać się na tej drodze. Będę trzymał za Was wszystkich kciuki, ponieważ reprezentacja jest naszym wspólnym dobrem narodowym. Trophy lift day today.

Bittersweet, as we're heading to Holmes Park (@leicsfa) for the Cup final of which we came so close to reaching, but topping it off by collecting the league trophy which the boys have worked so, so hard to win.

27 games in all competitions; 20 wins, 4 draws (2 of which resulted in penalty shootout wins), and 3 defeats. But most of all, tons of progression from a group of boys who had barely kicked a ball in anger 2 years ago.

Unbelievable determination from the boys today. Twice coming from behind to equalise, including with a last-kick penalty to make it 2-2. Then confidence in the penalty shootout, all against a team top of the division above us. So, so proud. 🟣🦊🟣

A quick question for anyone with knowledge of the historical laws of football (c. Early 1980s):

What, if any, punishment should there have been if a goal kick failed to leave the penalty area before being touched by a defender?

I would have assumed an indirect free kick...
