Having a goal for your training is essential!

Just as you can be busy at work and put in 12-hour days without making progress, you can also train 5 days a week and still see no results. To avoid this, get specific with your training goals.

1. Get clear on your highest training priority. Make each session count by being specific with your primary goal. If your goal is to grow muscle, train in a way that maximises muscle growth.

3. Optimise your time in the gym. Use antagonist supersets to minimise rest time without compromising the quality of your sets.

Dieting isn’t about winning a game! It’s like treading water. The goal isn’t to escape the water but to find the most efficient way to stay afloat. Whether you use high-carb, low-carb, intermittent fasting, or calorie counting, it’s all about finding ways to make it sustainable.

3 - Aligning lifestyle with training goals: Nutrition, sleep, and stress management need to be in sync for me to progress. When I was younger, I could make progress in the gym even after a night out. However, now I wouldn't even make it to the gym.

Similarly, in training, the exercises chosen and the volume allocated will be magnified by proper form and intent.

In my opinion, generic cookie-cutter programs often overlook the crucial aspects of form, intent, and an individual's lifting history when determining exercise choices and volume.

It's comparable to trying to emulate Elon Musk's daily routine and expecting to amass the same level of wealth. His riches are a product of the skills and knowledge he has accumulated over time. When he works 100-hour weeks, those hours are amplified by his skill and knowledge.

Just a reminder: more weight doesn't necessarily guarantee more muscle growth, especially if proper form and intent are sacrificed. Growing muscle takes time, so be patient and trust the process.

The process of fat loss doesn't need to be sustainable - if it were, we'd die. However, the routines and habits should be sustainable. In my opinion, this is the best way to ensure long-term results.
