@realMeetKevin If you're interested in common sense solutions, it doesn't matter if they're far left or right. Wherever the solution lies politically is irrelevant. Moderate or middle of the road means nothing. The truth could be on the far left or right as well.

@realMeetKevin Biden is a moderate Dem. He's desperately trying to win Republicans over with a watered down infrastructure bill and they're basically giving him the middle finger. If you truly hate identity politics than stop using the phrase "moderate dem". It accomplishes nothing.

@isomeme @KyleKulinski I don't disagree. In this circumstance the industry was hit particularly hard because of the pandemic. It was propped up in the short term. But yeah, if we had a real social safety net, it might make more sense to let things take their natural course. Unfortunately we don't.

@isomeme @KyleKulinski And the money did essentially go directly to the workers. I think it was a lot easier to allow everyone to keep their current health insurance and receive the money through their current payroll than to try and set up some new system for everyone and change their healthcare.
