@MikhailaFuller The lack of sleep new moms endure come with severe consequences. Obviously hormones and stress play a huge role as well. I wouldn’t wish it on any man or woman.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol The scholarly consensus of atheistic historians disagree on it being legend. We all believe in something.
Wherever you put your faith, I hope it brings peace.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol An empty tomb wasnt the claim. Youre left with a hoax or mass hysteria and neither make sense of the minimal historic facts that even atheists agree on.
Check out the books they go much deeper. All the best.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Thats not what I said. People don’t usually die for what they know is a lie. They die for things they think are true about all the time. That’s not the same.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Then the prophecies about Jesus. Hundreds. many written about him long before he existed that explained what would happen and when. Its' a lot of coincidences if untrue. Then you have prophecies throughout the bible to deal with.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Quick version? the apostles who suffered and died for making the claim. people don't usually suffer torture, prison, and death for what they know is a lie.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol The conversion of Jesus brother James, who wasn't a believer while Jesus was alive. Then James goes to his death saying he ressurected.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol The conversion of Paul, who was hunting christians has a conversion and becomes the biggest evangelist-given his position makes zero sense.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Correct. The eye witnesses are all dead. If the resurrection was true, what evidence would you expect today that would at least make it plausible ?
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol I think you’re confusing evidence with proof. There is no proof he rose. But Saying there’s zero evidence tells me you haven’t educated on the topic.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Hysteria and lies don’t explain the odd historical facts surrounding the resurrection.
Too many to name in a tweet but I’d recommend reading books on the topic: the case for Christ, evidence that demands a verdict, cold case Christianity. All written by former atheists.
@parawing742@dalepartridge@mattvanswol That’s like saying there’s no evidence against OJ and it was just a rumor.
You may not be convinced by the evidence but there’s plenty there. either stance takes faith. The alternative theories to me are more absurd than a resurrection. Wish you well.
@mattvanswol Christians, if honest should have a lot of questions that can’t be answered this side of eternity.
But when you consider the evidence of biblical prophecy, evidence for the resurrection …you either have to have faith it was a series of giant coincidences or the Bible is true.
@dalepartridge@mattvanswol Exactly. You have to come up with a better story that beats the end game of the bible and with more evidence for it to get me to believe it. I’m sticking with Jesus.
