Actually @GulPanag ji people's right to protest is contingent upon approval by the law and order enforcement agencies, they do have to give you permission.
Right to protest is absolutely constitutional and critical, but it is not absolute, much like the other freedoms we enjoy in India. While you have the right to protest, you don't have the right to disrupt public life. Similarly, if someone is criticising someone's method of protest, it doesn't automatically mean that the person is against the right to protest itself.
