2) The initial release of Rebirth came during my trip to Japan 2 years ago. Seeing the advertising everywhere, especially at the konbinis (convenience stores) showed me how normalized, respected & relevant gaming is there & added to the enjoyment of my time there. (2/2, fin.)

Picked up @SquareEnix @FinalFantasyVII Rebirth on #NintendoSwitch2, very eager to start the full game.

It’s a very special game to me for 2 reasons. 1) The original FF7 was 1 of my first 3D game experiences, establishing a love of exploring big fantasy worlds. (1/2, cont.)

Absolutely loving @SquareEnix @FinalFantasyVII Rebirth demo on #NintendoSwitch2. Not likely to finish before the full release, so much fun stuff to do in this world. Really appreciate how good the port is on a game that’s really special to me - I’ll explain why when I pick it up.

@NintendoAmerica CarPlay and Android Auto support are a fantastic addition for this. To date I’ve had to manually start a track to get it to play in the car, it’s manageable but better just to open the app straight from the dash. Hopefully I can favourite and or playlist tracks from the dash too.

Finished @SquareEnix @FinalFantasyVII Remake on #NintendoSwitch2 last night. In short @nhamaguc and the team did a great modern take on a game, characters and part of a world I already loved. Mixed feelings on the additions but really fleshed out the original well. (1/10, cont.)

Also really appreciated @tylerhoechlin as Sephiroth and @ericalindbeck as Jessie. The Avalanche members really got their due. Some really great villainous performances too, just hard to like what are clearly intended to be bad people. Again, great work all around. (9/10, cont.)
