@GaryDawgs1@thwacknicklaus I get both sides I do, competitive sure but at the end of the day even pluses are still amateurs, she’s a pro and one of the best. i’ll take her 9/10 times.
sure I agree to an extent but never said anything about distance. She’d still hit it closer on approach, she’d scramble better, she’d putt a lot better than most. not to mention if you were playing a match against her she’d kill us all emotionally and mentally. Hit one bad shot and it’s over for the amateur mentally, she hits one long putt and ur done emotionally.
@TinCup2020@thwacknicklaus Also please define a “Divot” the rules of golf has definitions for reason. How old can the divot be for you to take relief, how wild, long or deep does it have to be to be classified a divot. Simply it’s subjective your definition might be different from mine or someone else.
you do realize you could take relief from any of those spots and your relief area could be just as bad? Cart path usually found in the rough, not guaranteed good spot, ant also most likely rough, but this would be given relief under movable obstruction or lose impediment, Sprinkler head, most likely in the fairway or off the green, you’d already most likely have a good lie before taking relief, unless you’re inside the sprinkler head. Only pros deal with the grandstands 99% of golfers don’t so really not relevant to the general rules of golf. lastly no you don’t get relief from line of play just stance, swing and lie of the ball.
@DustinDHansen@NUCLRGOLF The problem is defining a divot. Your definition could be different from mine and every rules official will have a different interpretation of what a divot is.
@Drewpizmo The road is most likely out of bounds, he would need to take stroke and distance relief. Granted there is a model local rule if applicable allows you to take lateral penalty relief from ob, but that has to be established by the course or a committee for a tournament.
