An annual tradition of mine is to create a 24 team playoff bracket with conference winners getting auto bids.
What started as a wild hypothetical scenario has slowly moved closer to reality.
Here's the 2024 version:
Jim Valvano taught us to enjoy life and to cherish every moment.
As we continue this journey, we’re reminded that the Stanley Cup Final is about more than hockey. It’s about people, purpose, sacrifice, and appreciating the moments that bring us together.
@Jared_Shafit@PierreVLeBrun It’s a combo of Avs having done it before (albeit 3 years ago), passing the “eye” test more than Carolina, and the Wild pretty clearly being better than the Flyers and Sens
Im a canes fan so I hope you’re right! But when the fan base gets as optimistic as they are I get scared
@Jared_Shafit@PierreVLeBrun Definitely reasonable. It’s certainly reassuring Carolina hasn’t dropped a game even when they aren’t played their best (unlike past years) but I can’t help but feel cautious until they do it against a team everyone knows is good.
@617sports69@Canes2Arizona@CanesHockeyAC There were obviously a lot of Bruins fans because Boston is a pretty big market but in this video the canes fans are pretty clearly saluting the team for a good run
@RyanSura18 Am I missing something or are both of those perfectly reasonable advancement numbers?
Over half of the teams win their first round and just under a quarter win two rounds?
