@RollColls @Toohey_sp Foe kids is in a school with enough athletes to actually compete for playing time, it’s perfectly OK to specialize and be great if you don’t want to be a role player in three different sports. That’s for the 5-11 170lb guys. Sure, if you’re 6-2 and 210-220lbs u can do it all🤷🏻‍♂️

@WisBBYearbook Anyone who argues bc they only think about the 6-4 games that happen once or twice a year is just wrong. This happens the last 4-6 minutes of every game within 15 points. It’s not 1988 anymore. Move the game forward!

@RieseDraft @KyleMalzhan You can watch the last 3/4 minutes of every single high school game with a score within 10 points and the game turns into garbage. It’s not about the couple of games they do it for entire games. HS games in WI aren’t fine if you would watch games with shot clocks.

@Coach__Strick Maybe someone needs to grab the last 3 years of rosters from these 14U volleyball clubs and show that 80% of those kids aren’t playing by age 16. Clubs selling $1500 roster spots to girls that can’t serve a ball over the net half the time. I’ve lived it and also coach BBall.

@MattBredesen All of this could/should be avoided by making the state tournament an 8 team event. Get to 8—reseed and double the excitement of the event.

@Coach__Strick V-ball clubs pick up EVERY SINGLE GIRL and put them on teams as long as the families will pay. 10 month seasons and no one sees they are the 5th string setter until they get cut freshman year. Of course it’s a different vibe when non athletic kids play others and get trophies.

@AdamDeMong @Team1848 Travel with purpose. Teams traveling 2,000 miles and the players haven’t even researched what coaches they are trying to play in front of. Team from the west coast plays in Chicago when there’s equivalent events in So-Cal, Phoenix, Vegas etc with just as many recruiters.

@KenThree8 @MattBredesen @travisWSN @SeanCriderBB Almost never. Doesn’t change the fact that the shot clock would improve high school games. The last 5 min of every close game would be improved. It’s not about those extremely rare 6-4 games where teams won’t come out of a zone and it’s not even a basketball game.
