@teacher2teacher Hi I am a senior at MSU and for my TE448 (Diversity in YA literature) social media project we must discuss with fellow educators on diversity in the classroom. My question is, what do you believe is the most effective way to make sure all students feel represented in your class?
@MCep416@DrazinMatthew Hi Meredith! I totally agree! It is super important to accommodate all types of learners. No two students learn the same, so it is super important to set up each student for success #PSTPLN#cep416
@DrazinMatthew A5: I will be looking for a district that is inclusive and supportive to all of its students and teachers. Developing a sense of community is very important for student success #PSTPLN#cep416
@EkbladMadeline@DrazinMatthew @MrLostetter Hi Madeline! I really like how you focused on what student can do rather than what they cannot do. I agree that we as educators should look for what will be the best way to reach our students so they can be successful
@gabbyottoreads @DrazinMatthew @MrLostetter Hi Gabrielle! I really like your ideas of accommodations. I would have never thought of a keyboard instead of writing!
@MissSydneyCarey@DrazinMatthew I totally agree that making friendships in classes are important. We will likely all end up in different schools so keeping that connection with other educators is super important to be able to see what others are doing well in their classroom
@_MissGardiner@DrazinMatthew Hi Jessica! I agree with what you are saying! I think developing that problem solving skill will definitely help students become free thinkers and will help them in their development into successful members of society
@SarahB1456@DrazinMatthew Hi Sarah! I never thought of using Instagram to find teaching resources! I will have to start following some!! Pinterest is the best for crafts!
@MsBHoffman@DrazinMatthew Hi Bailey! I always forget about YouTube when it comes to social media! A lot of my classes have used YouTube to show us examples of teaching a certain topic but I’ve never thought to use it to find lesson! I will have to check out that page! #PSTPLN#cep416
@DrazinMatthew A4: I have not explored too many teaching resources yet. I have used Pintrest for some inspiration for my lesson plans for my classes and I have really enjoyed seeing different ideas teachers have for their classroom. #PSTPLN#cep416
@DrazinMatthew A1: Meeting the learning needs of all student is something extremely important. Each student is different so I believe giving students accommodations (audio recordings, explanations, background information) would help students achieve their full potential #PSTPLN#cep416
@DrazinMatthew A2: I am a senior at MSU and I believe that expanding you network is extremely beneficial. Just by these social media posts we are able to connect with so many people that we may not have had the chance to talk to and share ideas with #PSTPLN#cep416
