The 12z HRRR is completely bonkers. The environment tomorrow out ahead of this potential squall line is juiced. Whether it tracks right through Michigan or dives south into Indiana, the environment is largely modeled the same. Dangerous night ahead for Thursday wherever it tracks
It’s about to be hot and humid, and that ridge is about to cook. Multiple severe weather chances highlight the middle to back half of next week across the upper Midwest. Will be watching for increased squall line / MCS potential here locally in Michigan.
got rocked today by one of the most intense bursts of wind I’ve ever experienced. I was able to run out to the open field and measure 81mph on a handheld anemometer, but that was likely enhanced. More realistic would be 65-70mph. Video was taken after I ran back inside 😂
@Bobane1991 Yeah. The strongest gusts I did not capture on camera as I was standing in the middle of a field a minute or two prior to taking this video.
