South Yorkshire is home to some amazing cultural talent – from the Arctic Monkeys to Doncaster's CAST Theatre to the Chuckle Brothers, and more. Our £1m investment in @S1Artspace will support our creative industries through the creation of a major new cultural venue for South Yorkshire. It will also bring a historic site in the heart of Sheffield's Castlegate area back into public use. It is part of a broader city centre strategy to make the area a vibrant destination for visitors and local people.

@peterlnelson04 It does, post pandemic the scheme at Park Hill became unviable and unsustainable so we’ve been looking at other options in the city centre. The old Yorkshire Bank is a brilliant fit and will see a listed building brought back to life and opened to the public.
