We have reached the sit-very-still-&-try-not-to-melt portion of the summer - promised to be relieved by a thunderstorm today which didn't happen (in my area at least).

I'm not just reposting b/c I used to have my own bookstore(s) & can relate - but because good bookstores (and libraries) are the BEST PLACES in the world to be, for so many reasons. 💕

(I know there are others, w & w/o people - still think a really good bookshop is hard to beat)

@kteamarsden I'd love this if it were real: covered porch, hint of a garden, LOTS of windows on all sides - that actually open!! - big enough for other people, but lots of room for own quiet needs as well, & even a ladder if one needs to sneak out in the middle of the for emergency cake. 😇
