These mom med and dental school grads are walking around campus with gowns on and tiny children in hand. These hero's ARE wearing capes today. I have no idea how they did it.
Walking through a season of mundanity and confusion but then I goto the hospital to work with pt's who suffered strokes, hit by a car, have brain tumors and are overjoyed to do simple tasks and every week it slaps me across this face....this life is not about me and my comfort.
If anyone knows how to be 24, a grad student, a Jesus follower, how to not date dumb people, and get enough fruits and veggies everyday I'm literally all ears (and maybe $$?).
I don't know if I'm every more appreciative as when you walk out to a sketch parking lot at night and a guy pal walks you to your car. It saves me roughly 14 heart palpitations/min.
2nd yr of grad school is like when you imagined climbing through all the earths layers in elementary school and your 1/2 way. You're too far in to stop but so far away from the other side. And you're sweating a lot. Lots of sweat.
