@balumbah@OBBY001 The quality falls off a cliff around 10. The difference between 4th and 8th is much closer than 8th to 12th. Aus should be pumping Japan
@harrisondale88@theonlygirlhere The revolving door (players and coaches) at the Tahs is extremely concerning. Even the inability to sign players. Phipps and Foley is not positive at all imo when you’ve let how many next generation 10s go since they were last in the team.
@JohnBFergo It’s apart of the conversation, definitely not the priority. More sides = more opportunity. There are only 4 starting 10s in Aus. If you’re number 5 you’re probably going to look elsewhere for starting gigs.
@latts92@JohnBFergo This is only true if they have birthright ties and they want to play for them over Aus. Other players have to play for 5+ years in a country before they are eligible. If their ambition is to play international rugby, it would be quicker to stay in Aus. $$ is the reason for most
@OBBY001 Campese is a parasite on the code and this is a mistake from the Bears. None of the best RSA rugby talent is going to pick the Bears over any of the union leagues in Europe or Japan.
@Nelsonhdale@EdwardE56567733@CudmoreJock It’s a lot easier to get that level of exposure when there are 14 French teams. Even more if you consider div 2.
We have 4 teams. If you’re not one of the best 4 fly half’s in Aus, you are not starting. Huge bottleneck for talent which is why we “lose” so many players.
@Sambruce86@espnscrum If team borders are loosening, thoughts on implementing a super rugby draft? Obviously would need rules to protect team academies, but could be for players not given a pro contract by a certain age.
@OBBY001 If anything those comments are polite given he just got a job with the ABs. He’s not going to speak too poorly about his new boss publicly before his first day
@rugbyworldcup Has anyone got through and purchased tickets? Been waiting over an hour and seemingly no progress. Yellow bar hasn’t moved at all in this time
